No-Bake Chewy Granola Bars
When it comes to snacks, granola bars are a staple in many pantries. They're quick, tasty and easy to bring along. The problem with store-bought bars is that many of them are highly processed and contain a fair share of refined sugar. So what's a granola bar lover to do? Why, make your own, of course!
Ingredients¼ cup honey
1 tablespoon salted butter at room temperature
1 ½ cups rolled oats
½ cup chopped almonds
½ cup pumpkin seeds
1 tablespoon flax seeds
1 tablespoon chia seeds
Method
Prepare a 20x20 cm baking pan with parchment paper, leaving some overhang on the sides for easy removal.
In a large mixing bowl, combine oats, almonds, chia seeds and flax seeds. Add honey and butter to oat mixture and mix, using your hands or a spoon, until combined.
Scoop the granola mixture into the prepared pan and firmly press into an even layer. Cover with parchment and chill in the freezer for 15-20 minutes until firm.
Remove from freezer and transfer to a cutting board using overhang on sides.
Chop into bars and enjoy immediately.
