Make Your Own Breakfast
It's very easy to make your own muesli. You don't need to buy expensive boxes and you can make it exactly as you like it.
All good muesli recipes have 50%-70% of cereals (rolled oats, oat bran, wheatgerm) and ingredients from 3 other groups in proportions according to your taste:
- dried fruits (sultanas, currants, apricots, cranberries, coconut),
- nuts (chopped whole or slivered almonds, hazelnuts, chopped walnuts)
- seeds (sunflower, pumpkin, sesame and perhaps chia).
You can toast it or make granola by baking it with honey or golden syrup and coconut oil. Add fresh fruits - bananas, berries, kiwiand you are all set.
